Sometimes you’ll want to have a sub-menu on your WordPress website with a top link that doesn’t necessarily go anywhere. For example, you might have separate pages for your company’s service, but not want an overall “services” page, so the idea is to simply “unlink” that parent page.
It’s actually easier than you’d think, and doesn’t require a plugin.
How to Unlink the Parent Page in a Dropdown Menu
- Create a WordPress custom menu.
- Add a custom link with the title you want and a link that goes anywhere.
- Expand the custom page in the menu box and remove the hyperlink.
- Hit “save.”
- Add child pages as needed.
